Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Mass Servers

Students in grade 5 and up are eligible to assist at the altar as Mass Servers. A total of 48 servers are included on the weekend roster, twelve being designated for each of the weekend Mass times (5 p.m. Saturday, 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday). Servers are divided into groups of three and are scheduled on a rotation of every four weeks. After the roster is filled, other young people may be designated as substitutes and may be put on the regular rotation if a server leaves or becomes inactive in this  ministry.

Servers from St. Dominic School, whether or not they are on the weekend roster, may receive training and serve for school Masses.  Students from St. Dominic School are generally called upon to serve for funerals on days when school is in session.

Mass Coordinators

Mass Coordinators prepare the worship space for Mass. They also check to see that people for the other ministries are present. Mass Coordinators are commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and assist with Communion at Mass. Mass Coordinators serve for a month at a time at a specific liturgy. Contact: Pam Blazina, 663-1879
